Our Story
On July 9, 2023 my best friend Caramel, a 15 month old kitty lost his battle to FIP; or Feline Infectious Peritonitis. This virus attacks a cat quickly and without any remorse. While we noticed signs of sickness in late May and early June, our vets failed to advocate that this virus may be the cause. We watched Caramel lost weight, diet, energy, and will as the weeks passed. I was heartbroken. We only heard about FIP on ~July 6 to which we learned about FIP Warriors, a potential cure, and a support base we had hoped for. What our vets failed to do was save my cat. But this community helped us and we were ready to adminster his first dosage on Monday, July 10 once we had the paperwork back from the vet. It was one day too late.
FIP attacks a cat in <8 weeks. Diagnosis and vet care is too slow, too handcuffed, and too distracted to look at animals with this disease at the speed needed to cure our pets. And Caramel was my best friend. He got me through the lowest of times. So with that being said I want to make a difference.
Why I'm Selling This Shirt
A portion of the proceeds will be donated to help with FIP research to speed up the development of a cure. This virus is curable, yet for some reason the lack of funding has allowed 1 in 200 cats to die from this virus. I want to make a difference; that's all.
Picking up one of these tees gets you something to wear to the local shows, a small piece of something that was super important to me, and a garment that is really high quality.
PS - Carmy was the big one, Machie is the small one. His favorite toy was a small giraffe on a string that he'd carry around everywhere :)
